The four-pearl Culloden House is a handsome and historic 18th-century mansion set in 40 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland. Culloden Moor Battlefield is managed by the National Trust for Scotland. Members can visit for free – if you’re looking to be a member, it’s definitely worth the cost and you can see more details here. I’d allow a couple of hours at least for a visit but if you’re really interested in the history then perhaps a little more would be good.
